More Capacity to Create new Capability
It's early days for virtual production and, so far it is estimated that less than 1% of film production across the various sectors uses it. The technology is now both commercially and creatively viable.
SilverScape delivers end-to-end virtual production via new Studio spaces, technologies, and VP production expertise.
We are creating learning and engagement programs and new business analytics tools to measure carbon and provide all the data needed to demonstrate the true value of our virtual production solutions.
The 2022 AdGreen report illustrated that from the 515 ad production projects that measured carbon impact, almost 63% of the carbon emissions were created through travel and transport.
So, our VP studio facilities, where the world is brought in front of the camera, rather than entire crews traveling to each location, will be a large part of the solution if we are to reduce the negative and unintended environmental impact of filmmaking.
Our aim is to encourage the widespread adoption of virtual production by making it easier and more cost-effective for producers across the film, TV and advertising sectors.

The Team

ESG values are at the heart of our business.
Reducing emissions from production is one of five recommendations from the Advertising Association's Ad Net Zero report.
Virtual Production will play a key role in reducing carbon emissions and has infinite potential as a sustainable filming solution

We are proud to have secured the support of the British Film Commission, Creative UK and Greater Manchester Combined Authority who understand both the developing nature of the market and our plan to deliver a unique cluster of services to support the creative industries. Additionally, we are working with Cowgills Investment Advisory to support our growth ambitions.
We are working with Cowgills investment advisory practice to support our growth ambitions.
We are grateful for the leading trade associations who are also committed to the decarbonisation cause, ISBA, IPA, AA, APA and will be educating their members and stimulating discussion regarding all things Virtual Production.
We will be working closely with all parties and will evolve to incorporate a carbon calculator into all productions filmed with Silverscape.

Our first Silverscape Studio will be located in the Greater Manchester Area - already a hub for creative excellence.
Manchester is widely recognised as the UK’s number one regional creative talent marketplaces.
Home to the BBC, Google, IBM, and Media City, this vibrant, cosmopolitan city houses multiple sound stages and award winning creative businesses (over 500 creative and tech companies are based in the City) alongside a multiplicity of digital marketing agencies.
Manchester has led the way in driving film and television production up North, and has a wide range of stunning and diverse locations from its historic city centre to the surrounding peak district. Image by Mylo Kaye.

Key to SilverScape's ambitious plans lies in the establishment of a dedicated virtual production studio complex in the UK. This all-encompassing facility brings together cutting-edge technologies - including LED volumes, which can project content in three dimensions and create an immersive and interactive experience for actors and creatives. It also provides operational expertise, and end-to-end production capabilities all 'under one roof.’
